Pineapple Builder

Use your Pineapple subdomain

You do not need to buy a custom domain to give your website a Pineapple address. Claim an available name under pineapple.page, then publish the pages you want visitors to see.

The address and the publication are separate steps. Saving a subdomain does not publish an unfinished page or change your workspace plan.

Claim a website address

  1. Select the correct workspace and website in your dashboard.

  2. Open Website settings → General.

  3. Under Subdomain, enter a name in Subdomain name.

  4. Review the address shown below the field and select Save.

Enter only the name, such as my-business. Do not enter https://, www. or the pineapple.page suffix. Use lowercase letters and numbers, with hyphens if needed, and choose a name of at least four characters.

If the name is already taken, choose another available name. A domain you own, such as yourbusiness.com, belongs in the separate Domain settings.

Publish and check your pages

Open the website's editor, save your changes and publish the intended page. Make sure the homepage is published at the website's root path.

Return to Website settings → General and open Your live page url. Check the visitor-facing website, not only the editor or draft preview. Follow any publication or plan message Pineapple shows for your workspace.

The subdomain field is missing

When a custom domain is configured, General settings prioritises that domain and hides the subdomain input. Manage the custom connection in Website settings → Domain.

Do not disconnect a working domain just to inspect its address. Read Change or disconnect a custom domain first, including the effect on analytics and existing links.

Before renaming an address

Changing a website address can affect links you have already shared. Do not assume the previous Pineapple address redirects automatically. Update links you control and test the new address after saving.
