Connect a Namecheap domain
Connect your Namecheap domain to a Pineapple website by adding the DNS records shown in that website's domain settings. Domain registration stays with your registrar; the website stays in Pineapple.
Get the required records from Pineapple
Select the correct workspace and website. Open Settings → Domain, enter your domain, select its provider and choose Connect domain. You need workspace owner access and a plan with custom-domain support.
Keep the resulting DNS records screen open. Copy its current values rather than using an IP address or destination from an older tutorial.
Update DNS at Namecheap
Sign in to Namecheap and open Domain List.
Select Manage beside the domain, then open Advanced DNS.
Under Host Records, choose Add New Record or edit the specific record that needs changing.
Enter the record type, host and value from Pineapple, then save your changes.
These controls apply when Namecheap's BasicDNS, PremiumDNS or FreeDNS manages the domain. If you use web-hosting DNS or another provider's nameservers, edit that active DNS zone instead.
Namecheap appends the domain to host names. For a www record, enter www in Host rather than repeating the full domain. See Namecheap's CNAME instructions for its current field guidance.
Check the connection
Add any ownership-verification TXT record requested by Pineapple. Remove only the specific conflicting website records identified during setup; preserve email-related MX records and unrelated TXT records.
Return to Pineapple after saving the changes and check the connection. Allow time for DNS changes to become visible. Check both the root domain and www version, and complete Finish setup if it is offered.
A connected domain still needs published pages. Make sure your homepage is published, then open the website using the domain.
