Add Tag Manager to Pineapple Builder
Step 1: Go to your "dashboard" and pick your website.
Navigate to your Dashboard and select the website to which you want to add integration.
Step 2: Click on "Integrations" and pick "Google Tag Manager" card
Step 3: Add your web Container ID
Use the Google Tag Manager web container for this website. Copy its Container ID, beginning with GTM-, into Pineapple's Google Tag Manager id field and save. This is different from a GA4 Measurement ID.
If you have not created a container, follow Google's account and container setup. Connecting the container does not automatically create analytics or advertising tags inside it.
Configure the tags, triggers and relevant consent behaviour in Google Tag Manager. Preview and check the intended events before publishing the container version. Avoid installing the same tag again through Pineapple's direct integration or website scripts.
Verify the published container
Open the public website and use Google Tag Manager's preview and tag verification tools. Confirm the correct container loads and the intended tags fire once on the expected actions.
If a tag is missing, check the Container ID, container publication, trigger conditions, consent settings and browser extensions. A saved ID does not prove an enquiry, purchase or other outcome happened.
